NEW RELEASES!

This is the story of JEAN-PIERRE MASSIERA, producer, composer, studio owner, guitar virtusoso and master of psychedelic disco, rock and everything in between.

MASSIERA was the mastermind behind THE MALEDICTUS SOUND, a «frenzy listening» album released in 1968. Produced with no artistic constraint or pressure to produce a hit, this record was the start of an usual musical journey.

Man with a blurred artistic vision, MASSIERA is an artist with not one plan, but many plans, whose career started with early 60's French beat groups and spreaded through the rock, prog and disco eras with an equal share of hits, misses and psychosis.

Covering at least two decades, his work is a smorgasbord of loops and woops, absurd blunts, delirious outtakes, outrageous rip-offs, some unashamed (Daddy & Mama = Boney M), some obscure (Engins bizarres = Napoleon XIV) and of course, brilliant fuck ups with an infectious groove.

PSYCHOSES FREAKOÏD (1963-1978) features the best of psychedelic rock from MASSIERA, including demented gems from BASILE, LES CHATS and J.-P.M. & Co.

PSYCHOSES DISCOÏD (1976-1981) features the best disco productions from MASSIERA, including titles from mythical bands VENUS GANG, HERMAN'S ROCKET and HUMAN EGG.
